Word of the Week

Vacationholiday

Definition:  A trip taken, generally during the summer months
Used in a sentence:  A common complaint that people have about the state of the economy is that they haven't even been able to take their kids on a vacationholiday abroad every year.  (Oh the unfairness of it all!!)

  1. You know how we tell other Americans to have a great holiday weekend because Memorial Day is on Monday, but the holiday actually starts on Friday after work! It doesn't mean anyone is actually going ON holiday. I will sometimes clarify myself when I'm talking to Vern, I know he knows the difference on how we use the words holiday and vacation, but I forget sometimes too.
