Welcome to Ameringlish!
My name is Meg. Some of you know me already. Some of you have found my blog and are getting to know me. Either way- thanks for stopping by!
I thought I'd tell you a little bit about myself- in case you are nosy. I know I always like to read about the people who's blogs I read so that I can pretend we are actually friends :)
I am originally from Dallas, Texas and have been living in Manchester, UK since February 2010. I moved to Manchester because I met a really cute/funny/smart/sweet/wonderful guy. His name is Ross. We met in the summer of 2008 at a conference in Portland, OR. I thought we'd never see each other again... he stole my phone number out of my cell phone. We texted, we emailed, we had a second date where he came to stay with me for a week. We fell in love, he visited a few more times, he proposed, he visited a bunch more times. We got married! Huzzah! It was awesome. No. Seriously- our wedding kicked ass. Then I moved to Manchester. It's been a great first year of marriage and adjusting to a new country.
Before I got married I worked at a Research Study Coordinator with a study looking at what type of treatment best prevents relapses in depression. It was cool and I enjoyed it. I got to help people and mess around with spreadsheets and data. I have a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S. in Counseling. Now I help my husband with his business. It's cool and I enjoy it. I get to sleep in and organize our warehouse.
ETA: On March 1, 2012 our little man Linus joined the fun. He's awesome and we're a little obsessed with him.
So thanks for reading... post a comment and let me know who you are and we can be real friends instead of pretend ones. If you've got any questions let me know and I'll do my best to answer. You can send me a message at meg@megandross.com
