Cheerful Sunday

It makes me very cheerful that The Olympics are in Great Britain this year.  It makes it all so exciting.  The best part, however, is that they are in London and we are in Manchester.  We get all the thrill of being proud to be the host nation without the inconvenience and crowds!

We watched the opening ceremony (well, I made it halfway through the parade of nations), but haven't watched that much else so far.
Are you watching the Olympics?

  1. Meg, I watched the whole thing...yes, it was quirky but I liked it! Loved the lighting of the torch, loved Sir Paul but my fav was the Queen and Daniel Craig. She's is a lucky gal to hang with James Bond! You should be very proud of your newly adopted country they really out did themselves!

    1. Glad you liked it! I thought the part with the Queen was awesome too! No matter how often people complain that she doesn't smile, it takes a serious sense of humour to go along with something like that :)

Is there any sport(s)that you like, Meg?

I think that track cycling is fantastic..as well as track and field of course.

    1. There aren't any that I'm really into. I like gymnastics, but not to the point that I'd even check the schedule to see when they're on. So far, we've been flipping the coverage on and watching bits and bobs. My theory is that some people are just really into the Olympics and other's aren't too bothered. I guess I'm one of the "not bothered"s. :) I'm also not one of those "Ugh... The Olympics. So over it!"
