Creepy child's clown costume in Asda
There are a few options for babies, but nothing great- mostly just sleepers with skeletons printed on them. It goes without saying that people here don't make a big deal of dressing up their babies in adorable costumes (or even better, family theme costumes!) like this:
my cousin with her adorable little lobster
As I've been deprived of participating in the right of passage, I'm going to share with you some adorable costumes that I might have picked if we were in the States. You're welcome.
Yes, they're mostly animal. They are all from Target. (But then you know how I feel about Target.) They're all super-adorable. Feel free to share pictures of adorable babies dressed up so I can live vicariously!
What's the cutest baby costume you've ever seen?
OHMYGOD look at the lobster. I die.
ReplyDeleteI know, right?!! George is the cutest little lobster ever. His face just kills me :)
DeleteCute costume ideas! Vernon still doesn't understand the concept of dressing up at Halloween.... I tell him what I am dressing up as or what my friends were and he'll say, "But what's scary about that?" UGH!
ReplyDeleteI was talking to some of my girlfriends about this. Specifically, they referenced an episode of Friends where they were having a Halloween party. She said she'd never understood why they weren't dressed scarily. I think Americans leave dressing up for Halloween, whereas Brits to "fancy dress" more frequently.
DeleteI agree, much prefer the cuter costumes than the scary ones! Today at the day nursery I work at we're having an Ugly Bug Ball. The idea is to dress up as a bug obviously but I expect we will still have many pirates and princesses as that's their favourite at the moment. (I'm dressed as a butterfly today ;-) Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteCute baby bugs! I bet there was a whole lot of adorable at that nursery :)
